Final days of the CLUBROOM!

That's it folks. Actually, the clubroom was taken down yesterday following an amazing event on Saturday night featuring hat dancing, Mimosa Pale and the endless candyfloss, the incredible rumble in the white-tighted jungle that is POLKKA love machine, the fabulous JOKAklubi girls Niina Lehtonen Braun and Mirka Raito who taught people that life is colourful, the great TAGTOOL team of Andreas and Roman and finally myself who hosted the most frustrating quiz ever. Answers follow...

BUT FIRST a look back over the last evening's events:

On Sunday a listening room was set up in the Clubroom, as I wandered off in my slightly dilapidated state to reboot.FM at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt where the quiz answers were divulged along with a short interview with myself about Kombiticket, the NGBK and the clubroom! Much fun was had between 6 and 7pm and the radio show can be downloaded as a podcast soon! Watch this space!

And finally, this word means 'LOVE' in Finnish, found scrawled on the side of a church in Kreuzberg whilst taking all the clubroom elements home...

Clubroom will return in February. Kombiticket CONTINUES!

Clubroom OPENING Tonight! From 5pm onwards

Clubroom opens!

Tonight is the grand opening of the cluroom in progress - there is a myriad of exciting things going on tonight, not to be missed! Here is a taster...

Aside from our fabulous jingles, room decor with dangerous plantlife, abstract doorway and schaufensterpuppe we have:

The wonderful JOKAklubi ladies (Niina Lehtonen Braun, Mirka Raito and Mimosa Pale) contributing with table workshops, candyfloss mountains, spiky aprons and general joy all night long!

At 6:30 Miss le Bomb will host a short quiz in the room, questions and answers solved with the power of TEAMWORK!

At 7:30 we will have the TAGTOOL boyz (Andreas Dzialocha and Roman Hagenbrock) playing music whilst some animator guests virtually scrawling over walls, people, dust on the floor, you name it!

Last but absolutely not least we have POLKKA LOVE MACHINE at 8:30 performing an explosive combination of Finnish Butoh, throat singing and mind-boggling BASS to rumble the clubroom into motion on to it's next destination...

Following this there is open-ended dancing and romancing guaranteed in the clubroom this evening with music, chanting and dynamic energy from the skies.
DON'T MISS IT

Day FIVE at clubroom... TAGTOOL!

Yet another eventful day at the clubroom - today we had Andreas and Roman of the Berlin faction of Tagtool in our annex space BEHIND THE SCREEN with some experimental workshop participants (! no sic ! ) getting to know the true wonder that is TAGTOOL. A DIY open source apparatus so fabulous it threatens to add even more 'UH' to the midriff of the word FUN.

Here are some photos of the workshop PLUS A MOVIE...

Clubroom Day FOUR

Day four is over... today we had the astounding jingle workshop with 6 amazing jinglers: Zabo, Patricia, Pauline, Nicolas, Laurent and Kim all joined in to create absolutely dramatic and compulsive-listening jingles for the clubroom that will be played RAUF UND RUNTER on Saturday's opening as well as on the Reboot.FM show between 6 and 7pm on Sunday night!

Here are some images from the workshop - less this time as the SOUNDS are what counts...

Clubroom Day THREE!

Day three at the ever-eventful clubroom, a club IN GESTALTUNG!
Today was the day of JOKAklubi's hat, apron and object workshop... Beginnings were made into developing the suggested particles of the room.

JOKAklubi were this time in the formation of Niina Lehtonen Braun and Mimosa Pale. Mimosa has a hat shop called HIMO in Weserstrasse, Neukölln. The two fabulous danger ladies spent a whole day in the clubroom with art students from the Menzel Oberschule, along with other guests, designing colourful accessories to be worn within the clubroom. Here are a few images of the pieces in progress!

Aside from hats there also existed the necessity to create some objects, foliage for the room and a view out of the window... An abstract green plant, a cactus, a carnivorous plant, a lamp and a Berliner Aussicht were amongst the fabulous results:

The dance floor got a little more damaged during all the activities today but still survives to tell the tale of stomping feet...

A marvellous doorway was constructed by Alex

General mayhem

And last but not least, the continuing saga of the SCHAUFENSTERPUPPE (see Day Two). The man with the wonky teeth will see his wish coming true as an Amazonian mannequin appeared in exactly the right position... representin'!
